Microclimate Lab.

Microclimate CSV Analyzer — Temperature & Humidity

Bring your sensor readings into one view. Compare locations, see daily ranges and find when a greenhouse, balcony or growing corner behaves differently.

01 · Import your readings

Give every sensor context.

Processed locally. Up to 2 MB, 10,000 observations, eight sites. Blank temperatures are excluded and counted; missing RH stays missing.

02 · Your measured environment

Import readings to compare locations.

03 · Day by hour

Find your daily pattern.

Mean recorded temperature within each UTC hour for the selected site. Empty cells mean no readings. The heatmap displays up to the latest 31 recorded days.

04 · Regional weather context

Look beyond the sensor.

Optionally request daily regional model data from NASA POWER. Your entered coordinates and dates are sent to NASA. Gridded daily minima are not simultaneous measurements from your garden.

How to use Microclimate Lab

  1. Import a CSV containing timestamps, temperature and optionally a location column and relative humidity. Map the columns before analysing.
  2. Use ISO timestamps with Z or an explicit UTC offset. An optional control treats otherwise unzoned ISO timestamps as UTC.
  3. Choose the plot and review the summaries. Daily/hourly heatmaps use UTC so timestamps from different offsets remain comparable.

A worked example

A sensor file can use timestamp, site, temperature, humidity. The sample download shows the expected structure; sample readings remain clearly labelled as illustrative.

Assumptions and scope

Sensor location, calibration and sampling frequency affect comparisons. Daily minima at different sites may occur at different times. This tool describes imported readings rather than diagnosing plant damage. Gaps, missing humidity and unequal sampling are retained; summaries are based on recorded values.

Results use the entered values and the method described here. Keep units, sampling conditions and the source of the data with your interpretation.
